What do you do if your friend confides that he’s been having money problems and hopes that you could help him by lending him some cash? do you immediately dig into your pocket and help your friend?
Before you say YES, just prepared yourself for the worst case scenario by ask yourself some questions. First, how about those friends you’ve known for years?, second, can you picture what would happen if your friend doesn’t pay you back? or how will that affect and change the relationship?. If you cannot find resolve with the previous questions, then I suggest that you reconsider your decision and perhaps try to help your friend through another way.
Do Not Lie while giving the reason of your denial. You need not tell your friend that you cannot lend him money as you had too many expenses that month when the real reason is that you do not believe in lending money to friends. You need not feel guilty as lending any amount of money can cause problems. It can change the nature of your relationship if the person doesn’t pay you back.
